Harald Lesch opens lecture series titled “The Origin of Matter”

Together with Frankfurt-based association Physikalischer Verein, the ELEMENTS Research Cluster, which is led jointly by Goethe University Frankfurt and Technical University of Darmstadt, is hosting a lecture series in the context of this year’s Deutsche Bank Guest Professorship for Science and Society.

In the lecture series “The Origin of Matter – How are Elements formed in the Universe?”, scientists from the ELEMENTS Research Cluster will investigate the question what processes take place in extreme states of matter and what conditions lead to the formation of heavy elements. The event is led by Prof. Dr. Luciano Rezzolla and Prof. Dr. Dirk Rischke of Goethe University Frankfurt.

The lecture series

on 21 April at 2 pm

in the Audimax lecture hall at Goethe University Frankfurt 
Theodor-W.-Adorno-Platz 5, 60323 Frankfurt am Main

Harald Lesch is a professor of theoretical astrophysics at LMU Munich and professor of natural philosophy at the Munich School of Philosophy. He has been a TV host for 25 years, with current programs including „Leschs Kosmos“ and „Terra X“ on ZDF.
